Halloween Night ~ October 31, 2009

It's time for CANDY! I don't allow the kids to eat very much candy except on Halloween night. I give in a little and it's actually sort of fun seeing them be surprised that they could eat multiple pieces of candy all at once!
This year Camden was Darth Vader, Carissa was Hannah Montana, and Addison was a fairy. (All costumes were from Aunt Kelly!)
I put makeup on the girls, which they thought was spectacular. They looked cute and sparkally!

Mike and I took the kids to the church Trunk or Treat. I love that the ward does that. It is safe, fun and short! When we got home, Mike wanted to take the kids to some of our neighbors' houses. Addison didn't like the Halloween decorations so she stayed home and dug into her candy instead!

Halloween Afternoon ~ October 31, 2009

Time to carve a pumkin! Mike printed out a few jack-o-lantern faces and let the kids pick one. Then he helped to trace and cut it out. The kids enjoyed carving out the face on the pumpkin. It turned out nice but I don't have a picture of the final product...I don't know why. We saved the pumpkin seeds and I roasted them in the oven. Mike and I love to eat the seeds. Yum!

Halloween Morning ~ October 31, 2009

On Halloween, I give the kids a little goodie bag in the morning to start the day off. It usually consists of a candy apple, stickers, a small toy and a flash light. They love getting the little bag of goodies!

My wonderful hubby turns 33 today. Wow....I met him when he was 17 years old. He is the love of my life and I am so happy to have spent the last 16 years with him!
I got him this awsome cake. It may look nice but it tasted like chocolate heaven. It was so very yummy. We actually split this cake between all five of us. It was so rich and chocolatey, that a small slice was perfect. I will be getting this cake again in the future!

Fall Is Here! October 2009

It's October....can't believe it! Every year we take the kids to a pumpkin patch. We get to see the pumpkins growing, visit the petting zoo, and enjoying going on a bouncy slide or two. I love the fall. It feels like the beginning of the holiday season and cooler weather!

My baby girl turns the big 3! Addison is such a fun little girl. She can be trying at times, but with that comes a really great personality. She is funny and makes us laugh all the time.

She enjoyed opening presents and eating her cake. We took Addison to John's Incredible Pizza. We went there for Carissa's birthday and Addison decided that's where she wanted to go for her birthday, too! It was fun and the kids had a great time.

I love her!

Carissa Loses Her First Tooth

Um....Camden barely lost his first tooth, so I wasn't expecting Carissa to loose one too! She woke up the other morning and ran over to show me it. Again, I felt sad just like I did when Camden got his first loose tooth. My babies are growing up and I don't really like it!

Yellow Belt Testing

Camden began Tae Kwon Do about two months ago. He has loved every minute of it. He is also really good at it. The instructors have noticed how "with it" he is and that makes us even more proud! Saturday, Camden went to his yellow belt testing. He did really good! Wednesday, he will be promoted to yellow belt.
Warm-ups and waiting for his turn.

He looks so cute in his uniform! He takes this sport seriously and does an amazing job, especially for a 6 year old!!

Fun in the Hot Sun!

Take one bucket full of water balloons...

Add three really cute kids,

And you get yourself about 3 minutes of summer fun!!

The kids used most of the water balloons by popping them over their heads!

Addison needed a little help...which Carissa, I am sure, was glad to offer!

How we spent Carissa's Birthday

Carissa has been wanting to go to John's Incredible Pizza for her birthday for the last three months. We had plans to go but found a coupon for Lego Land. We asked her is she wanted to go there instead and she said yes. We drove over an hour when it started to rain. It didn't look like it was clearing up anytime soon, so we turned around and ended up at the pizza place. It is a fun place with lots of rides, games, all you can eat pizza and salad buffet, and dessert! We had fun and stayed dry and warm!

The food there is actually pretty good. Mike and I love the alfredo pizza. It is REALLY yummy! The salad is good too. They have different themed rooms where you can eat in. We sat in the cartoon room and needless to say, the kids were glued to the tv's. Hey, it was a pretty peaceful lunch!

We got a small cake for the birthday girl. You can't have a birthday without birthday cake, right!?!?

In the afternoon, we took the kids back to the church parking lot so that Carissa could try out her new bike. She did great. By the end, she was jumping the curb alongside her brother!

And then there's my silly hubby.....behind the bushes, trying to coax the two cats to come to him. They never came out of the bushes (thank goodness!) He might have tried to keep them or something!
