I LOVE the Beach!

Ahhhh....I love the beach! It had been in the high 90's and into the 100 degree mark here this weekend so we decided to go to the beach yesterday. The weather there was absolutely wonderful.
My kids had a blast playing with their daddy.
They especially loved the huge hole that Mike dug for them!
And of course we had to bury Camden in it before we left.

I always love the days we spend together as a family....makes for wonderful memories!

Sisters

I will never know what it is like to have a sister to grow up with....so seeing my two girls together always makes me happy. The older Addison gets, the more they play together.
This day, they were outside and Carissa was blowing bubbles for her lil' sis.

Carissa, when she makes the effort, is a great big sister. She is helpful and loving to Addison. (To Camden is a different story!)

First Soccer Game

The kids had their first soccer game and it was really fun. The parents were all cheering and the kids did really well (for 3, 4, and 5 year olds!) The funny thing is that all the kids run after the ball in a big crowd. They look like a swarm of bees!
Here are the coaches for the Lil' Kickers. Ed and Dawn are really great at coaching the kids. They are patient and kind yet firm when needed. Camden and Carissa love them. Dawn was Camden's t-ball coach last season.
I was so happy I had the camera out at this moment. It was during the middle of the game and for no real reason, Camden put his arm around his little sister. What a sweet moment!

Morning Time

As I was getting breakfast ready for the kids, they were watching a morning show on tv and I couldn't resist taking their picture. They always have to sit together....which is cute most of the time but often leads to fighting!
All three of them still love their blankets above all else!

No Training Wheels

About three weeks ago, Mike decided it was time to take the training wheels off of Camden's bike. I was nervous for him but it only took him 5 minutes to figure it out. He rides like a pro now. He not only could go straight, but the same day we took them off, he could turn and everything. Mike thinks he must have been ready a while ago and he wishes he had tried sooner.

Now the only problem is Mike is wanting to get Carissa off her training wheels.....
Umm....I think that is rushing it!!

Zion National Park

My family went to Zion National Park for three days. We had a great time. The weather was awsome and the park was beautiful. Addison loved going down to the river and throwing rocks into the water.

My aunts and uncles and their families went too. One of my cousins was there with his two kids who are almost the same ages as Camden and Carissa. This made the trip even better because the kids had a blast playing with each other.

The campground is all dirt and this made for great fun for them digging and playing in it. They were dirty from head to toe from morning until they went to bed. They were in heaven!

I couldn't believe how beautiful it was there.

Bad Hair Day

This is what Addison's hair looks like after her nap. CRAZY! Her curly hair makes for great bad hair days. I love it even if it looks funky most of the time!

Carissa's Haircut

I took Carissa to get her haircut with me. Her hair badly needed a trim and her bangs were so long I had to clip them back everyday. Now her hair is nice and straight and healthy looking!

Looking in the mirror at her new haircut while she is telling me that she looks so pretty!

Before her haircut

It's Soccer Time!

My little soccer star. She may be really shy on the field but she is actually quite good.

Camden and Carissa have started soccer this week. They have done really well. The love getting outside and running around with a bunch of other kids there size.

Camden is used to team sports so he has been great at listening to the coaches and trying his best to play good soccer. He is so cute when he is running down the field kicking the ball!

My Birthday Present

Everytime that I take my kids to the library, I check out photography books for myself and have been doing a lot of learning about digital SLR camera's. Well, even though my birthday isn't until next month, Mike decided to get me my own SLR camera. It is a very nice one and I am so excited to get one. My older brother and I have kinda gotten into photography at the same time and he just got his own SLR camera too. I am excited to share that with him and learn together even though he lives in Utah. Mike spoils me all the time and I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful hubby.
